Handlebar mouted cigarrette lighter

I purchased one of these handlebar mount cigarette lighters. Just a heads up, the provided clamp does not fit our 1" handlebars. It's not even close. I called and left a message and sent them an email yesterday asking if they had a larger clamp. No call back and no return email. I went to True Value hardware and purchased a 1" emt conduit clamp that bolts to unistrut. It is a single bolt clamp that has a flat spot with a 1/4" mounting hole 180 degrees from the tightening bolt. Paid 85 cents for the clamp. This will work OK. The cigarette lighter is of good quality and waterproof. I just don't like it when something is advertised to fit and it doesn't and the vendor doesn't have the courtesy to return calls or emails. I'll give them another day before I enter my feedback.

That looks like the same thing I had on mine. Made by EMGO. It took some fiddling, but I managed to get the clamp to fit.

Looks like the same one I have. A few four letter words were stated as I finally got the thing mounted.

That's the one CJ....my clamp was too short to stab the bolt through the holes after the inside arc was bottomed out against the bar. Even if I could have stabbed the bolt it would have chewed the chrome off of the bar. Just got back from getting my heat shrink tubing. Gone hook it up now.

I received an email from Orange Custom Cycle this morning. Jenn said out of hundreds sold this was the first complaint they've had concerning the clamp not fitting. She asked if I'm certain that my bars aren't 1 1/8" and if I wasn't attempting to mount it in a curve in the bar.

She also said to mail it back for a refund. I told her I had it mounted with a store bought conduit clamp and all is good. At least they replied and offered assistance.
