Calgary, AB Mid-Winter Biker Bash - Feb 16th

I’m sure that most of us here in Calgary are starting to feel the effects of “cabin fever” and are itchin’ to get out for a little fun. Well here’s your opportunity to get out for a mid-winter Biker Bash.

When: Saturday Feb 16th
Time: Starts at 8:00 PM (and goes until closing time if you’re so inclined!)
Where: The Winkin’ Owl Pub & Grill – #10 -13705 Bow Bottom Trail SW (Next to the KFC in the Deer Valley Shopping Centre)
Who: You and your spouse/significant other and a whole host of biker friends

They will have a live band named Alter Ian playing classic rock. I’ve seen these guys before and they are great and a good band to dance to.

The pub has a Pound & Pint special (a pint of draft & a pound of wings) for $7.50 before 9 o’clock for the early arrivals but they also have special drink & food features all night long.

I’m working on a few door prizes for a little extra excitement through the night.

And the best thing, it’s the Saturday right after Valentine’s so you can tell your sweetheart that you’re taking him/her out for Valentine’s and still hang out with your biker friends! How good does it get?

Bump. Anybody else in the Calgary area interested? I must have picked a bad weekend because almost everyone who's responded is either out of town or on vacation down south.

Oh well, Eagle Eye and I will make up for those who don't show!

I was thinking of rounding up a door prize as well. Maybe we'll just give each other a gift, have some beer & wings & some laughs with the gals, and call it a night! I'm a little surprised, the member list shows quite a few in the Calgary area. Being a native I always thought Albertans were quite social.

Yup, just got home. Been one hell of a week! I don't remember too much of it; you may have to get Eagle Eye to fill in the details. Something about an impromptu flight to Vegas and sheep.

Just kiddin'. These sort of things are pretty tame when you get our ages. We all had a real good discussion comparing notes about what meds everyone is on, though!
