PIPE-WATER, Top of Engine
Ok, this is a tough one. I think I may be losing coolant, and possibly getting air in the system via bad o rings. These o rings ate located at the top of the engine, on Pipe-Water, that plumbs the hoses into the engine.
I changed the easy one (forward, access from left side of engine) now, the rear one seems to be a bugger. The throttle body seems to block access to the bolt to remove the pipe. Has anyone done this job, did you have to remove the throttle body, etc. Oh, the o ring I did replace was hard, and brittle, so, maybe this will help. Oh ya, this is on my 2005 Nomad, 47000 miles.

i had one start leaking very slightly a few years ago, I pulled it out of the cylinder head, smeared some silicone on it and put it back together again, its never leaked since.

But the right side pipe, how did you get it out. With the throttle body in ;n place, it doesn't even look like the bolt holding it in will come out.

Mine was the pipe in the front cylinder, and it was easy to get at. I can't remember how the pipe on the rear is located, but if the throttle body is in the way, you will most likely have to remove it.
