Original Survivor
Although I missed the first couple episodes, I very much got into the first season of Survivor (Have not been all that interested since)
There were two tribes. One was headed by the famous trio: Susan (the grizzled truck driver), Rudy (the ex-Navy Seal) and Richard (the eventual winner). In contrast, the other tribe was younger, had a lot more energy, but much less guile. The oldsters used their wits. As the viewing public, we never saw one incident. The youngsters, whiling away the often boring time between competitions got into the "island-thing." In this incident, they proclaimed themselves the island's "royalty." They built 2 thrones (king and queen) that they could use at the campfire. The oldsters saw the thrones, thought about building some themselves, then got a better idea. Using Rudy's training, they snuck up to the youngsters' site during the night and stole one of the thrones. The next morning, the youngsters were a bit perplexed, but, with their limitless energy, simply built another throne. That night, though, they did run a rope through the thrones and tied a secure knot. Rudy, Susan and Richard visited the youngsters the next night, cut the rope and stole another throne. The next morning, the youngsters determined that no further thievery was going to happen. They hurriedly added a second floor to their grass hut. Before going to sleep, they brought the thrones inside and put them "in the attic." That night, their house collapsed because of the extra weight. Although not seriously injured, they went to the shows producers and demanded that they take action. They were told: People who live in grass houses shouldn't stow thrones.
