They have received some good reviews.

When I copied and pasted the link it came up motorcycles.about.com and I didn't see anything about the Victory at all. Maybe I just missed it.

Hey Gene,
I just tried it and it took me right to it. Try again.

Cycle World just compared the CC, Street Glide, and Star Roadliner Custom (I think that's what it's called...) and they picked the Street Glide as the best. They said the Vic and Star were too big and almost too much power. Both of those bikes had over 30hp more than the SG while weighing almost the same. I was surprised, but I'll still take a CC any day!

I've done test rides on several Victory's, and I liked all of them. Last I heard there isn't a dealer within a hundred miles of me. And you have to buy the oil from them. I haven't looked in to it lately but that is a drawback.

After spending some time with the CC and being disappointed in the ergo's and asthetics of the Nomad, I decided the CC will be my next bike. Great ergos for us tall guys with big feet. And the look is new while still being traditional. Not too mention the bellt drive and six speed. The bags are huge.

That being said I still have a few years left with my trusty and great '03 paid for Nomad (there's a lot to be said for that).

A friend of mine has a Victory not sure what model but he uses Shell rotella T 15W40 in it and everything is fine he has 34,000 miles on it.

Every time I see a Victory, I am more and more impressed with them. The CC is a sweet looking bike. The smaller Jackpot models look like they'd be a lot of fun to rip around town with. Maybe someday...

I also own a 2005 Victory Vegas and use the Shell Rotella 15W40 in it since it is out of warranty. I would only use the Victory oil under warranty, just to CYA. Victory bikes are sweet rides, they have loads of power and handle very nice. I would love a new Cross Country but my budget won't allow it.

Do Victorys have a long warranty? If so , how long? If I remember correctly, they use a 50 weight oil. Like I said earlier, it would be a drawback, to use their oil for the length of the warranty. Especially when they are over 100 miles from me.

Victory uses a 20W40 semi-synthetic oil. Warranties vary by model and year purchased from 1 year to 5 years.

Stopped by the local Victory dealer here and they say the CC doesn't stay on the floor very long.
