Nomad 1600 Rear Fender Rail

After searching the Internet for the last several months, I have concluded that no one makes rear fender rails for the Nomad 1600.

With that said, I wanted to know if anyone on this forum has or knows someone who has fabricated or modified rails to fit the 1600.

I tried talking Chuckster into making some of these....but he says he does not have the tube-bending equipment he needs... :'(.

I've been looking for one for close to 3 years. No dice.

Perhaps you could make one from a 1500 fit with some modifications and then get it rechromed. Im sure its possible if you want one bad enough.

I went through all the types I could find from other bikes but none seemed worth the effort to adapt so I went with fender tips instead.

Who ever finally makes them will have about 100 sales the first couple of days. The rear rail has been mention on here several times and there are a lot of people who would like to have them.

There was a guy on the Delphi forum a year or so back that managed to get a 1500 rail to fit on a 1600. I can't remember what he did, but to me it looked kind of bush league. I wouldn't put it on my Nomad.

I agree Jared....there is a LOT of interest in that piece. It would look dynamite on the 1600....especially with the lower bag rails!
C'mon.....would somebody with some skills please step forward... ??

Nomad 1600 Rear Fender Rail

I wondered about doing some modifications to a frt rail and make it "clamp on" like the lower bag rails do. Just haven't had the time, and haven't been working where I'd have to do it. It wouldn't be hard.

Nomad 1600 Rear Fender Rail

hey guys, this company use to make one for the nomad, I have one on my bike that i bought from another member over on the delphi vulcan forum. I've provided a link to one that looks like it...
http://www.motherwellproducts.com/product-p/mwl-920.htm

one of the guys on the other forum said they are located near his house and that he talked to them once about making him one. he claimed that they told him they could make him one but since it would only be "1" that it would be pricey. maybe someone from here could contact them and see if they would be willing to make a batch if you got 20 or so people together to make a group purchase?
If I remember I'll take a pic of mine tomorrow and post it, whoops I mean later today (forgot its after midnight)
