NE Ralley?

Is there plans of a Ralley 2011? Im sure not everyone is going to th Nationals!I am a Maybe on the Nationals.. Anyone with a heads up?

The rally's going to be somewhere in the Deals Gap area next season. Thats the only one being planned.

There's a Ride to Margaritaville in 2012 being planned. It's under the National Rally banner. It will be in April 2012 and take about 2 weeks. I was giving it some serious thought because I have always wanted to do a trip like that. But after the accident, I'm not sure I want to ride a bike again. I'll give it a couple of weeks to heal and make a decision. But the trip to Margaritaville would be a great spring/summer trip.

2012 is a ways away. But it sounded like something I would like to do as well. Time will tell if its possible for me. I crashed in July 1967, was riding within a week. I crashed in June 2000. I was riding within two weeks. If you love riding, try it again. It will make you a better rider, fear factor keeps you safer. Hope you heal completely.

What accident? I didn't read about it. Are you ok ?

Trying to beat a red light

I was on my way to work on Thursday and started to cross through an intersection near my house. The light had just turned green for me. A lady was trying to beat the red light and slammed into me. The bike went one way and I went the other.

After a trip to the hospital in the rescue wagon, I came out of it OK. A torn left hamstring and a pulled groin on my right side; and of course, road rash. Luckily no broken bones.

I'm not sure yet what the damage to the bike is. My wife went to the tow yard and said that it mostly front end damage and some scraps and gouges here and there. I'm having the dealer haul it to his shop for the work to be done there.

In the past I've gone under a red light with both my bike and my car. I don't think I'll ever do that again. You never know who's coming the other way. If I had started up just a half second sooner, the lady would have hit me broadside. Ouch, now that would have really hurt.

Hey Stephen! It wasn't me, I was just quoiting John (merri1) he had the misfortune.

Although Elaine cousin was going to work last Thursday in the wee hours of the morning and hit a deer. He has broken ribs, facial injuries and is in ICU.
