1600 WWW 150/80/16 ON REAR DONE!!!

Has anyone put a 150/80/16 on the rear of a 1600 and does it fit or is the tire to narrow for the rim. I want me880s WWW and that is the only size that i can find. Thanks in advance.

I have seen it done. I haven't done it myself but it will evidently work.

Gettin' the bead to seat may be a struggle.

Thank you all. I just ordered front and back cant wait to see them on>>> They are alot cheaper than the 180/16 to $275.00 for both mounted and balanced out the door.

Wait until you see it though. It's a lot less tire too. Also your speedo will now read 100 MPH when you're only going 85 MPH and your gas mileage will drop about another 5~8%.

Are you sure it's all worth it just to have tires that'll look dirty after every ride?

Rimgadingh...I just noticed we are both from Vancouve USA. - I am also looking for www for my 1500. Found better selection on Dennis Kirk but not sure how big I can go on the rear. Pro Caliber charges 34.95 for mount + balance...sounds reasonable. Do you go to the Wed night cruise ins at PIR? Tons of bikes + cars..I heard over 1200.We should meet.

<marquee>I like your attitude.</marquee>

I had WWW on my C50T, and I swore I'd never own another set. Oh well, that's my personal opinion, which differs from my other opinions which may or may not be considered to be personal. Your mileage may vary.

I just (oooO! My ears!) pulled those (OhoooooO! My poor ears!) fuel figures out of (OooooooO! That's Loud!) my hat. (OooooWoW!)

In actuality, I think your Nomad may well go faster in 5th gear than a Nomad with the 180 does, because you won't be so overgeared in 5th. It still won't (IMO) go faster in 5th than a typical 180 tired Nomad goes in 4th though, and it won't go as fast in 4th as that hypothetical Nomad does.

So what I'm saying is that regardless of what the speedo is telling you, you may wind up with the slowest Nomad on the planet, and the worst gas mileage as well. But again I'm just pulling that out of my theoretical hat; so it'll be up to you to test those theories (if you dare) and report back to us.

Ringhadingh...My bad. We are not from the same city.

I was using a Blackberry when I was reading your post. Small screen, old eyes, high tech gadget....you get the picture. I was killing time waiting my turn at the DMV.

Now Spirello...you are near me...just about 10 miles away. Please let me know about those white walls as I will be buying tires soon. I love the WWW look but wonder if the constant cleaning will drive me up the wall (pun intended), especially when we start getting more moisture. Sweet bike..those tires will really set it off even more.

It does take a little more to clean them, I do the tires every week or two depending on the rainfall. I use Spray Nine and a scrubrush, usually takes two times to clean well. But to me its worth it.
