If your bike starts trying to buck you off...

In case this happens to any of you.

I was riding from just outside Washington DC, heading to Virginia Beach. I just turned from 95 onto Rt. 17 when the bike started bucking, rocking back and forth. The red light on the left side of the tach kept flashing. It died, then started back up, bucked some more. Got worse in gears above first. I turned around and headed back to some parking lots as there were some gas stations back the other way. Bike kept doing it.

Long story short, I got towed to the wrong dealership (Suzuki place, they don't do Kawasaki's). Then got towed to the right place. Earlier, I had added a fuse block, and as part of that, a Powerbar to plug in my GPS. Since all systems were good with the powerbar, I pulled out the old wire that connected my GPS. After all, it was just a few strands of wire. Well, apparently it was enough that by the time I got to Rt. 17, the negative battery screw had loosened enough and was losing contact. Cost me $41, and 4 hours for that screw up. :'(

Lesson learned... tighten every time, even if it's just a little bitty bit.

But got to give props to the AMA Towing service. Free since I set my membership to auto renew.
