Les Schwab Tire Centers

Just one more reason to love Les Schwab Tire Centers...

These guys have always been great about checking my bikes tire pressures for me. You know what a PIA it is to check the rear...so I usually just pull in there and they happily check them for me....and add air if needed...with a smile!

Well...the other day I was checking the pressure in my shocks as I'm prepping for a 2500 mile bike trip in a couple weeks. When I unscrewed the hand pump, I could hear air leaking out of the air valve. I played with it enough to know it was toast. The next day while riding home from work, I swung in to Les Schwab and pointed out my problem. While I'm removing my saddlebag, the guy quickly locates one of those valve stem caps that you can use to remove the valve stem....replaces it with a new stem....and gives me the cap for safe keeping! He literally grabs my hand pump from me, pumps in the 30 psi I requested and made sure there were no leaks. Again....no charge.....just a smile.

Let me just say that this is one company that "gets it"...... :).....and yes....I do buy my car tires here!

I Know what you are talking about Kris I have had similiar experinces with scwabes always a smile, Great service ,honesty I stopped into get some new tires and the tech went and lo0ked at my rig and said you have 10000 or more miles left on those tires, come back later on and we will set you up for some new ones. I was there because I had 50000 on them already. Needless to say when the tires needed replacement I went back. I have had several similar experiences with different locations. This is a quality co.

I too have used Les Schwab for years. I am OK with paying a little more like 10-15% but they are starting to get greedy (30%). I bought 3 new sets (2 4Runners and a Camry) of tires from America Tire in the last year at a total cost of $1900. Les Schwab wanted $2500. All tires were highly rated. So now I just get my brakes and batteries at Les Schwab.

Sounds like a great tire dealer. Too bad to hear their profit margin seems to be getting a little too high.

Les Schwab is one of the many things I miss about Utah...Service is the name of the game at this time and they always treated me with respect, while they fixed my car tire for free...I wish Rapid City had a Les Schwab...

so let me get this right Kris; your too dam freekin' lazy to check your own tire pressure???

Remind me never to take a long trip with you! You might actually have to put gas in your tank and that means opening up the gas cap!

LOL.....I ride past two Les Schwabs a day on my bike.....sometimes three! It only takes a sec for them to check and they have air readily handy. So I guess in retrospect....the answer to your question is YES....YES I AM...... .
