Great long distance bike. I had an 07, with a tape deck. :) Vacuum operated cruise. When you set the cruise , give to two acel bumps so it sets at the speed you want.
The V4 bike is very top heavy, in slow speed situations, it is work. All day comfortable. Best MPG's between 60~65. At 80, she was a pig on gas.
Did an unoffical Iron Butt on it, no problems. For a 1200, they pull very well.
I changed the clutch at 60K. The inner or first disc is a half size. I went with a full size first disk. Better grab, but also stronger grab on the decel/down shift.
Fuel pump when out at (electric) 65+/- k. The OEM is pricey, there are after market (Mr Gasket) electronic fuel pumps with the same pressure and inlet/outlet sizes. Worked well.
When I traded her in at 86K, she was still running strong.
