One of the benefits of disconnecting the solenoids on my '05 was the engine no longer revved way up when first starting it cold - hated the initial clatter but I try not to let it idle too low either.
Even without the solenoids though, there is still some chatter on top of the engine at all times.
How are the oil pumps on the Kawi v-twins? Good pressure at low rpm or no?
