The Elkins (2) trip was rather fast and involved a lot of seat time. I was leading by gps speed (actual travel speed) on the way up and back and that ALWAYS looks pretty fast on the ole' odometers....

Ride off with your keys in your bag lock

Its an easy thing to do when you are on a long ride. Especially if you are multi-tasking during a food or fuel stop. I tend to ride with my ignition key on a lanyard around my neck that I tuck in...
