Rear seal question

I read a lot about the oil leaks on the rear end seal on the Nomad. Just how common is this problem? do they all leak? if so why did'nt Kawasaki fix this problem? Can I do anything to help this issue?

I live not far from Deal's Gap. We had a couple of frosty mornings last week, the leaves are starting to turn quick now. The next couple of weeks will probably be the peak color weeks.
