Dryer Lint

You'd be very surprised just how much builds up on the inside of the piping between the dryer and the exit point of the house. The majority builds up in the coiled section of hose immediately...

When you used the clip provided with the PC to attach to the TPS wire, that clip is prone to nearly sever the wire. Strip that portion of the TPS wire and solder it. Protect it well. Try everything...

Look in the manual to identify the wire that should provide power to the pump. I'm not sure if it comes on with the ignition like a FI one does, but logically it should. I've got the tank off my '99....

The crazy part is, the guy designed the plate holder to fold in. Hard to tell because of the grainy pic when zoomed in, but look at the bracket. He actually put thought into it, and planned to do it....

I had a rub issue with the Throttle Position...

I had a rub issue with the Throttle Position Sensor wire. When it grounded out the frame, it acted exactly like what you're describing. I'd trace that wire from the sensor all the way back to the ECU.

+1 for aftermarket pipes. And loose that heavy goat belly. Easy to take off. And if you do dual pipes, it'll have to go anyway.
