I'm in agreement, nice looking bike. Not in the market to buy but also curious as to why you are selling.

I am selling because Laura and I would like something with a bit more comfort. Some possibilities are a Voyager, Electra glide Classic or a Goldwing.

Don't let the "ramblings" on here deter you from an Ultra. I like mine very much and don't have any of the complaints others not owning one seem to have about it. http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif

Madno,

When you installed your 5 inch risers, did you have to extend you lines too? Just curious...

No I didn't Have to extend my lines, but I did have to move the brake housing down about a half inch.

I'd rent the Harley first before I sold the Nomad; IMHO. The Nomad should sell without a problem.

They are all great choices, but I think if you do a lot of two up touring long distance Id look closely at the Goldwing.

I owned a 1983 Goldwing and it was a very comfortable ride. Put 30,000 trouble free miles on it. There have been so many improvements to the Goldwing since then. Of course a lot of difference in the price also. I paid just over $6,000 for the Goldwing Interstate in 1983 off the showroom floor. Now minimum is $20,000. But for me if money wasn't an issue that is where I would be. I paid less for the first house I bought than a new Goldwing costs now. Split level, full brick, three bedroom with bath and a half for like $16,500.

I doubt you will find a new Wing up here under $27k, most are about 30k with the GPS sytem on them.

I don't know about up there in Canada but down here in the states $8750 for a 2007 isn't going to happen unless it is traded on a real expensive bike.
High dollar Nomads go unsold on Ebay all the time.

I think it is priced right for the Canadian market. Almost everything cost more in Canada!!A new Nomad in the U.S. is 13,000.00 here its 17,000.00.

In 2002 when I bought my Nomad it was listed for about 17K so really the prices have not gone up or have come down in recent years. I would say they are a better buy now then they were then, maybe due to the fact there is soo many more on the roads now?

Still compared to other baggers on the market the price for a new Nomad isn't bad. I personally would take a Valero instead, as I don't like the setup of the new Nomad nor the Voyageur for that matter.

I guess it all depends on what your looking for and what you think is value.

Scott
