Riding in February in MN

Me and some of my Victory riding buds are going riding tomorrow. Have never rode in February in MN. We had a nice rain last week and have had some clear, crisp days so there is no ice on the roads, should help with this PMS.

Weather forecast is for a high of 54 degrees with a light S/SW wind. :D

It's a little cool here in Oklahoma City we just hit 60°. I think I'll wait for it to warm up a bit.

I am planning to get out for a short ride tomorrow too - just solo for an hour or so.

Bringing the bikes home today! Can't wait to get out again- even if it's for a bit. Really excited to hear the new pipes on the Vaq- Christmas present from the wife! (Got her a set of short shots for her Shadow last Christmas, guess she felt obligated to return the favor!). Would love to get together with some other locals once the weather and road surfaces improve- LOTS of sand spread in my area. Be safe all who get some saddle time today!

Have fun. I was considering it, but likely will not.

I just picked-up my bike from the dealer yesterday. The paint-job looks good.

Custom 883

Oh... by the way. When picking-up my bike, my dealer (Boardtracker Harley, Janesville, WI); they had their custom 883 bike on display.

This bike is their entry into a national contest Harley sponsors where dealerships customize a specific bike model, in hopes of winning the contest.

The Service Manager and two of his techs customized this 883 to resemble a boardtrack-racer style, given the dealership's name.

This picture does not do the bike any justice. The white paint has an effervescence to it; which you cannot see in the pic -- along with some other finer details.

I was also able to get a sneak-peek of some of the other dealership's entries (which is not publicly released yet). This bike will not likely win the contest, from the looks of some of the other bikes in the contest, but it should at least respectfully place.

I realize this isn't for everyone; but either way, I thought it was interesting to see it; as I respect anyone who can do customized work. I am proud of my guys at the dealership. They are great crew.

Home again! Daughter insisted I take her on a ride... at least that's what I told the wife.

Glad you were able to get out Mike.

Greg, you painted your bike? A repair or just decided to change it?
The custom bike is not my cup of tea but you can see a ton on work went into it.

Nice looking ride Rookie13 :yep:
