Day trip to Kingston??

We started to discuss the idea of a "meet half way for lunch" day ride involving the Western Quebec / Eastern Ontario and the Greater Toronto area members. It seems to me that we have about 5 active members on the forum from each of the two areas, so if we took some time to plan this we could have a nice little gathering of Nomads. Of course anyone else who wanted to join in is welcome.
The Kingston area seems to be the logical place and June was also mentioned as the logical time.
If this interests you please chime in along with what Saturdays in June would work for you and we'll see if we can get this planned.

Yes it is a very nice area. Gananoque just east a few miles is nice also, kind of the Canadian version of Alexandria bay.

I am certainly interested, and will be able to make it providing a few things get looked after at home the next 2-3 weeks. Somewhere around the 12 or 19th of june should be ok, but I'll have a better idea as things get done here.

I'll send a note along to a couple guys in the Toronto area, and see if they would be interested in joining us for a ride as well.

Would the possibility of a Sunday work, or does it have to be a Sat? It may be easier for some that don't have to work, and the traffic is usually lighter.

My boss would ripe me apart if I took a sickday to ride :-/ and since I'm a boss too and have to ripe my (not too bright ones ???) employees for doing that, well may as well be kosher. So for moi, the 19th or 20th... hope it works out http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif

I'll pass the message along to a couple fellas down this way, and see if the 19th or 20th will work for them. Thats probably the best weekend for me as well so far.
