Kawasaki Drifter

Just a curious question, does Kawasaki still make the Drifter or has it been discontinued?

Anyone know much about this bike as far as performance?

It's not on the Kawasaki web site for 2008. At least I couldn't find it.

It has been discontinued, I think 2006 was the last year for them.
If I could have another bike, it would be a 1500 Drifter. There are a lot of accessories available to make them look like an old style Indian. There is a Delphi Kawasaki Drifter forum that has a lot of info on them. One of the members there, his name is "Chief" has a beautiful looking Drifter done up like an Indian Chief bike. Heres the link.

I think the drifter is a sweet looking bike. If I was to get a second bike, it would be a drifter, something I can use for work. The Nomad is more for the wife and I. Also, the wife would like to learn now to drive a bike, so the drifter might be a good one.

I thought that 2005 was the last year for the Drifter 1500.

I like the 800cc model myself. I just thought it was a cool motorcycle.
I did see a 1500 with a set of Nomad exhaust pipes on it and that gave it a nice balanced look.
Saw a 800 for sale, 05, silver & black, and I think it was $4000.00. I would rather commute that to work instead of the Nomad.
