More snow!!!

Damn, by the time this ends sometime this afternoon we will have between 10" and 12" inches of new snow. I am ready to start riding for the season but it seams so far away right now. This is looking out my office window. I know that many in the NCR feel my pain.

Know what you mean Gibby. We had some last week and it is almost melted and they have another shot for this weekend. Hopefully more rain than snow this time.

ray2 03-10-2013 01:05 PM

Gibby, we only got about 8" of snow here last week but Sat. 9 march 13 we got about 9" total for the day wet and heavy. Nuts

ringadingh 03-10-2013 05:57 PM

Ours has been melting pretty good today, yesterday we had about a foot on the lawn, today less than half since its been in the low 50's.

Looks like we still have another 10 days before we see a 40 degree day! Not even above freezing much for the next week - stinks!

More snow forecast for the next couple days. June can't get here fast enough...

GIBBY 03-14-2013 07:32 AM

3-4 inches on the ground already this morning and still snowing. The weather "experts" are saying we may get 16 inches on Monday. This is hell.

cbutteris 03-14-2013 08:28 PM

We saw two bikes on the road today Gibby - guess 39 degrees is warm enough for some folks.

GIBBY 03-14-2013 09:17 PM

39 degrees is plenty warm, it is the ice that you can't see that keeps me from riding.

Given that I know what a slick surface can do to a motorcycle ride... I wouldn't chance-it to ride if there any possibility of ice.

Think of what it would be like to ride a bicycle in a hockey-rink... not exactly going to turn out right.

On the positive side... a great (but late) year for snowmobiles! :D

Last year on Irish-day... it was in the 70's here. Not going to make it this year...

Ride-on boys!

Look at Calgary and Edmonton right now .. -17 C and snowing , If you live in the beautiful community of Yellowknife, it's ono -39 C

Freezing rain here in the land of 10,000 taxes this morning, bet I don't see any bikes out for a cruise.

Guess I would have to invest in some heated gear up there in the farther north! Maybe some thick furs instead of leathers. ? -Cal

We had about an inch of snow last night with an expected 7"-11" in the next day and a half. Sure am tired of this s**t. April 20th is the annual spring "Flood Run" which runs along the Mississippi River between Afton,MN and Winona,MN
This ride attracts tens of thousands of motorcycles when the weather is decent. Sure hope it warms up soon :wtf:
