Yes a sad anniversary.
I had spent several hours visiting with Chuck in Coos Bay and I too was on my way home.
Received a call with the bad news in Twin Falls, ID.
I think about him often, what a great individual.

RIP Chuck!

What a wonderful person and friend. I got the chance to meet and talk with him in Elkins as well. He was the type who knew no stranger and was a friend to all. RIP.

Chuck was taken from us much too soon but won't be soon forgotten. Rest in peace and ride with the wind.

I don't think I ever talked with the man as he died just before I got into this crazy lifestyle, but I read his entire trip report and all the stuff posted about him. Hard to believe he made that entire trip and was killed so close to home. I may not have known him, but feel like I do, I hope he has his Nomad the way he likes it up there and the roads are clear and waypoints full of friends. RIP brotha.

I have only been a member since July 7, so I didn't have the pleasure of getting to know him. But sure hate to hear of anyone's untimely death. Could someone send me a message and let me know what happened. Rest in Peace.

David Homeney sent me three links so I was able to read about the tragic accident that took Chuck's life. Really terrible and a very sad day indeed. I feel now that I know Chuck through the tribute that the Texas Vulcan riders did for him. I sure wish I could have gotten to know him. He seemed like a wonderful guy. Rest in peace Chuck and may Jesus hold you close.

Trip, I remember sitting at my office when you called me. When I found the news online I was sick to my stomach! I'll never forget that day.

Although I'd never met the man, Todd's and your comments on him and posting about knowing and/or meeting him made me feel so sad.

I would have loved to have met him in Custer this year.... damit!!

RIP Chuck.
