CycleChamp1982 : checking in
Just got my 2006 Nomad (with only 3430 miles on the odometer) last Monday. My best friend for over 30 years had been encouraging me to make the "leap" for sometime. I say a "leap" because until the other day I hadn't ridden a bike that needed to be shifted, except for bicycles, since the '50's. I got back to the motorized kind in 2003 when I discovered the "Mega-Scooters", my latest being a Burgman 650, which I bought new in 2005. So, I am still in the learning zone on the Nomad. My wife wasn't to enthusiastic about me buying it until she saw it, but now she keeps telling me what a good looking bike it is. She won't be riding pillion though, until I feel completely competent on the Nomad.

Welcome from Canada champ.
My Dad's got the 650 Burger as well. That is one kick-ass scooter. You will love the Nad and your wife is absolutely right. :) |

Still trying to figure out how to use the Forum. It is so much more "professional" looking then any others I belong to. I wanted to reply to a question to waterman's question, but couldn't figure out how to do that. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have read enough about KawaNow already to not worry about asking "dumb" questions.

Waterman...I hope this gets to you this time. My 2006 is the green and silver one.
A few years ago when the wife and I were into cruising via the waterways, our last vessel was also named "Nomad" and for what it's worth...she was green and white. |
