Gas shortage?

Last week, the news here said it wasn't a shortage, it was a delivery problem.

Last night, they said there was a shortage of premium gas.

Vaq is the only thing I have that I don't put regular in. Mid grade has been working fine in it. Couple stations around the house have either been out, or only had regular. QT has been on place that seemed to have all grades.

Until this morning, when I needed gas. Signs on the pump said no premium and covered up the button to choose it. Mid a regular were still available. Tried the mid, but it was just barely putting anything out. Had to go with regular, which pumped just fine. Didn't hear any clatter on the way to work. Guess I'll see what happens on the way home.

Know I have some octane booster somewhere. Hoping I can remember where somewhere is at.

I use premium in mine as well, but can get away with regular in the cooler weather, It will only knock when I'm accelerating hard in hot weather.
Just curious, did your gas prices shoot up higher at the onset of the hurricane? Our prices always go up at the mention of any type of bad weather. The price of gas went up to $1.32 a litre here for regular, and premium was about $1.60 a litre, that works out about a dollar a gallon more increase or more. The prices have been dropping here the past couple days. $1.16 a litre today.

The big rush on gas was really just 2 days. But some places were really overpricing it. I saw it on the news for 6.99 and up to 9.99. A few of them have already been charged for gouging.

Prices are holding pretty steady. My guess is once it's all over, they'll drop back about 10 to 15 cents.

We went to my nieces house this past weekend. It's about 100 miles north of Houston. Gas was cheaper there than it is here in Dallas.
