Sorry I did not get back to you sooner. I was off the site the past three weeks.

I did finish my project. I was satisfied with the result, and used them on a trip in the mountains this past summer.

I would gladly share the instructions, if I had any. I kind of made it up as I went. It turned out OK, but was a lot of work, with all the hand stitching. I am not so sure it would not have been more effective to just buy one from Airlite for $75. Mine ended up costing about $10 when I was done. I did not finish with a nice backing on it, so it doesn't look as nice as those you can buy.

If I had to do it over again, I think I would probably just buy one, unless I had access to a sewing machine the could sew leather/heavy fabric.

Hi Dougster,
was reading yourpost from 2010 about you possibly making your own engine guard chaps. Did you try to and if you did, were you satsfied with results, and do you have instructions you would be willing to share on the How To's ?
