    Hi Greg,

In one of our conversations at Orofino you mentioned some roads to ride in the Mt. St. Helens area. My son, a friend and I are doing a day ride next Sat. to the volcano and would like your input. We'll be coming from the Bremerton area Please also include places to eat if you have any recommendations for that.

    Thanks,
    Ed

    Greg,

I noted you comment about finding your modified seat uncomfortable. If you want to go back to the stock seat, here is an option:

Mostly "The VOG" (Victory Owners Group)...or the Victory Forum (vBulletin like here). There are a couple others but I like the VOG best so far. Bike goes in Saturday afternoon for a full pimping. Should get it back late next week with all the goodies. I need to get some miles on it Saturday so they can do the 500 mile first service while thay have it. Wanna meet me half-way for a late lunch or something...?? Call me when you get a sec...

    Cheers...Kris

Here is the link to that thread here on VBA.
    http://www.vulcanbagger.com/forums/s...ghlight=Spyder

I do like my Spyder and it serves its purpose well for my needs.

I would recommend the extended warranty for these things -- but not the most expenseve version. BPR provides two versions; with both called the "BEST Warranty". I opted for their "less-expensive" 5-year "BEST" warranty.

These machines are "quirky" -- however I must say that most all of these problems have been covered starting with the 2011 model to include their suspension and steering appear issues.

I would only recommend the RTS with the SE5 (automatic-paddle-shift transmission) because it has better performance. (I have the SE% and love it.).

Hope this helps. Be sure to let me know if you or anyone have any more questions. These things are not cheap and they might want to ask more about it; which I would be more than happy to help with.

    Greg Wilson
