performance specs

Anyone here have a list of the specs the stock 1600 nomad is suppose to have.. here and on the kaw web site it doesn't state torque and hp ect. Just want to compare them to the dyno test I just ran. thanks

According to the Nomad 1600 service manual:

HP: 49 kW (67 PS) which converts to 65 hp at 4700 rpm
Torque: 93.7 ft-lb at 2700 rpm

well, this was just a test run to check the map on the power commander. so we didn't set it yet.. this is set up with the thunder map. I have chucksters plate with k & N and I have v & h and the "ultimate" baffle. without fixin nothing, I got 73 HP at 4700 rpms it looks like and getting 91ish lbs of torque. He said it's running real lean at the higher rpms and rich at the 2300 rpm ranges. So... at least we know the "ultimate" baffle isn't jacking up the torque then right? I don't know how much it will change if I get a full dyno done with a custom map. I just want to bike to runs it's best in all spots. he had it up to 5700 rpms and 137MPH

all nomad colors run pretty good but red/black has to be the fastest.also keep in mind that the horsepower figures kawi
shows in the manual are taken at the crank.expect a loss of
about 15% by the time it gets to the rear wheel thru the shaft
drive.

so your saying the HP is closer to 55? so the intake mod added almost 20HP?

thats a pretty weak hp rating for a 1600 cc bike, anybody will agree. SAD!
