Has anyone added an axillary fuel tank to a FI Nomad?

How did you plumb the fuel lines for the fuel pump to supply the injection system?

Considering a two gallon "Tour Tank".

Audiogooroo is the guy to talk to. I'm not sure if anyone else has added an additional tank.

I'm just going to build racks on my trailer to haul a couple of gallons of fuel.

Audio's bike is carbed, so Im not sure on how different the connections would be. Im assuming you could use a tee and splice into the existing lines. This way you would be drawing down on both tanks at the same time together.
The only thing about going that route is that the filler necks would have to be the same height or one tank may overfill the other one. Hopefully someone else has an answer for you.

Yep, my bike is carbed, so the plumbing was as simple as putting a "T" fitting inline just in front of the fuel pump and a switch to select between tanks near the choke.
For FI, here's a quote from Gadget's page: http://www.gadgetjq.com/aux_gas_tank.htm
"Owners of FI bikes might want to investigate (and this isn't a recommendation being made, only a possibility) plumbing this into one of their vent hose outlets (note the aux tank has to be mounted higher than the bike tank) and turning on a petcock to refill the main tank from the auxiliary when necessary. Or just take along a siphon hose. FI owners will NOT be able to splice a "T" into the high pressure fuel line between tank and injectors."

Thanks for the information.

The company suggests taking the main tank off the bike and having welder add a 1/4" bung in the bottom of the tank to supply the fuel at that point. Not interested in this idea.

I'll check Gadget's next.
