Last fall I started to read and post on this forum as I sold my Vulcan 900 LT and wanted to move to a Nomad. My local dealer called last week to let me know the 2009 Nomad should be in by the end of April or first week of May. I have ordered the black one. I read that they are on the roads in the USA but are slow to arrive here in Canada. I know the members of this forum love the previous models and I am hoping that you will be as open to the 09s. I do like their look, even the seat that some don't find attractive. So far the weather has been wet and cool here in Ontario but I am gettting anxious to get on the road. I am looking forward to becoming a Nomad rider!

Don't listen to us, we'd bitc# if you hung us with a new rope.
Ask yourself 3 questions
Is it a Kawasaki?
Is it a Nomad?
Do I want to be associated with these knuckleheads? ???
If you can answer yes to all three, you belong here.
Even if you answered yes to the first 2 and no to the last, your probably have more sense than me, but your welcome anyway, I'm sure.

I think I belong here--and proud to answer yes to all three questions! I took deliver of my new bike (my first Nomad) 10 days ago, and have 800 miles on her. I really liked my C50T Bully, but this is one sweet ride. I really cannot compare mine with another model, but I can say I really like the electronic cruise control, that 6th (overdrive) gear, the power I feel with this 1700 when I roll it on, and the stability the additional weight brings to this bike (over my last). I can't "compare", but I'm not sure there's such a thing as a "bad Nad"! I'm one happy camper with mine.

Human nature to make ourselves feel good by snubbing our nose at the "new" model. I love my Nad but when it comes time to get a new bike (couple years?) I will probably stay with the great bloodlines.
6 gears, more power, cruise...all sounds good. Alot of the fun is in making the mods to make it my own...even if I have to get accustomed to different bags.
