Finally have the bike pretty much where I want her. i bought it beginning of last month and with a little inspiration from netnorske's post awhile back, well, the checkbook has thinned out a bit.. I had some fun though.. thanks to all who have helped me with questions, both before I made the decision to buy the bike and after with Q & A. There will be a few photo's.. so dial upers can bail out now maybe..

I started with kury's lower fork skins and f & s caliper covers. granted I thought they were a bit more substantial than what they were, but I think it looks OK.

http://s698.photobucket.com/albums/vv348/borto1990/IMG_6411.jpg

next I did chucksters plate with the open k & n filter. I went with the power commander in the left side cover, I went with chucksters coasters as well. Also with the f&s water pump cover to hold the idle cable since doing chucksters plate.

http://i698.photobucket.com/albums/vv348/borto1990/IMG_6401.jpg

next I went to phat II risers. I tried some drag specialties that radco used but didnt' work on the 1600, he's got the 1500.

http://s698.photobucket.com/albums/vv348/borto1990/IMG_6409.jpg

next I went with Kury's clutch and master cylinder covers. for the money don't think they can be beat. I also went with Show Chrome switch covers, You have to take out all the innards from the stock ones but love the look of it not being a "cover". Then i went with the Brake Away throttle lock, a bit pricey, but works fantastic and looks much better than the vista.

http://i698.photobucket.com/albums/vv348/borto1990/IMG_6408.jpg

next I went with the garmin nuvi 750. she's not water proof but it's got built in MP3 for when I get some powered speakers. also shown are the iso grips.

http://s698.photobucket.com/albums/vv348/borto1990/IMG_6410.jpg

Next I went with the V&H pipes, complete with the "ultimate" baffle and chucksters trailer hitch.

http://s698.photobucket.com/albums/vv348/borto1990/IMG_6406.jpg

next i went with show chromes radiator cover

http://s698.photobucket.com/albums/vv348/borto1990/IMG_6413.jpg

Then I picked up a set of chucksters large lowers

http://s698.photobucket.com/albums/vv348/borto1990/IMG_6412.jpg

Then i went with a tour pak i got off ebay.. and also a mustang seat with backrest.

http://s698.photobucket.com/albums/vv348/borto1990/IMG_6403.jpg

http://s698.photobucket.com/albums/vv348/borto1990/IMG_6404.jpg

http://s698.photobucket.com/albums/vv348/borto1990/IMG_6405.jpg

http://s698.photobucket.com/albums/vv348/borto1990/IMG_6407.jpg

Next I made a hitch haul out of a stanley tool box. Still needs to get deburred and painted yet. This is just for toting clothes, sleep machines and light goods if I go on over night runs. It has a handle and wheels so I can pull it from reciever and just wheel it up to the room like luggage. I still need to add lights!

http://s698.photobucket.com/albums/vv348/borto1990/IMG_6421.jpg

http://s698.photobucket.com/albums/vv348/borto1990/IMG_6423.jpg

THEN.. I went with the harbor freight lift with the drop out tail and the drive in wheel chock.. in my opinion. this is a MUST HAVE. I'm only 37 and have been riding for 3 years and I'm all ready tired of workin and cleanin the bike kneeling on the driveway. This lift ROCKS. I drive on and park the bike on it everyday. saves from needing a place to store the lift. I also got the black jack scissor jack to raise the rear wheel off the table if need be. Oh yea, that's my trusty vulcan 750 in the back ground gathering dust.

http://s698.photobucket.com/albums/vv348/borto1990/IMG_6425.jpg

I also added the F&S saddle bag guards. So i think that is it.. Stick a fork in me, cause I'm DONE for awhile. it's been a fun month. My UPS guy is steve, I now know him well!! Thanks again for all the help everybody. i was lucky enough to meet chuckster and old bones at chucksters house while he put hitches on our bikes, hope to meet many more of ya as time goes on.

Borto, Everything looks great. Isn't it great to spend for bling on the Nomad? Love it......

Lookin' good. Now don't put away that checkbook just yet. Get to work on some safety mods:

- New air horn. Trust me when I say in freeway traffic that stock horn cannot be heard. Ann, in her van in front of me, with the windows up and the radio off, could barely tell when I was on it. Not good!

- Lightbar, Run/Turn/Brake kit and headlight modulator. More light and visibility is never a bad thing.

Compared to what you've already invested in it, these things should be trivial, and might save your ass someday.

Borto Great lookin add ons. Turning green here :):) Love the fork skins ,think I have a serious look at them. Just one guestion , when you put on the large lowers on it looks like they are not bent back on an angle? Am i right or not? It looks like they are just put on the original bracket!

Question borto....the K&N's look great by the way...are they the 9" ones" from the kit #60-1070 ?
I was interested in the screw or perhaps it's a screw cap in the center. I went with stainless Alan bolts. Very plain. The ones on yours looks nice. A bit dressier. I'd like to dress mine up.

thanks everyone.. I sure had some fun, a few headaches and many adult beverages putting everything on. It's funny how we all have the same bikes, a lot do the same mods but the bikes still come out our own.. Rickyboy.. that was the 7 inch K&N filter, can't remember the number, but it's the one CJ linked in his thread for chucksters plate. I put a 1/4 20 jack screw in the plate and the knob is a spectre knob I picked up at autozone for 4 bucks or something.. it is nicer than the bolt though.

Here is a couple more links, a bit cheaper than Cruiser Customizing:

http://www.phatperformanceparts.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=81-103

http://www.xtremerevolution.com/store/showproduct.aspx?siteid=7&ProductID=115&OrderBy=3&pagenum=2

They almost never list the Nomad as a fit, but it does fit with no problem.

Tony,
The scotter looks fantastic! I know you say like everyone else the end is near or you are done, but there is never a end to mods I feel :)
Thanks for posting all the pics and was great to meet you.
