Saturday was so pretty that hubby and I rode to downtown Annapolis, here in Maryland. It's by the water with blocks of shops to walk through, places to eat, bars and pubs and even ice cream joints! The area was PACKED!!!! Of course, everybody else had the same idea we did and there were tons of bikes parked all around. There were all types of bikes and brands, but mostly Harley Davidson bikes. They were sharp looking, don't get me wrong....I mention it to emphasize my story! http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif
After we finished walking around, shopping and eating too much for the day and got on our bikes to head home. These two ladies were walking by and kept looking back at Chaz and his bike!!! With all the other bikes there, and people getting on and off their bikes, these two ladies came back and asked Chaz if they could take a picture with him and his bike!!!!! http://s2.images.proboards.com/cheesy.gif They totally ignored me...it was like I wasn't there!!! ::)
Needless to say, hubby was feeling pretty good about himself and his Nomad after that!!!! As you know by now, I am ALWAYS prepared with my own camera and caught the moment:

Very cool, I know that when I was riding last summer on a trip with my father-in-law on his new H-D Ultra, I seemed to get a lot more attention when we were stopped than he did. You see the H-D product everywhere, Nomads are a bit more rare.

Cheriann, I was reading recently through one of my 1999 comparisons in a magazine from the first year the Nomad came out. It was compared to a Harley Road King, Yamaha Venture, and a Honda something.
The testers said that the Nomad got the most looks at gas and eating stops. Someone hit the nail on the head when they designed the proportions on this bike!

$10,000 REWARD FOR THE NOMAD
CheriAnn, Yeah, that happens to me a lot too...

I would agree, those clean, voluptuous, robust lines of the bike do get some attention from the guys and gals. The guys like for the obvious reasons and of course the gals are always jealous of the competition. ;)

He does have a sweet bike. I remember seeing pics of his bike at BTK. His bike was the bike that made me start looking at Nomads.

In 06 on the way to sturgis, we stopped at a gas station in wall sd. The manager of the store gave me a wall pin. he told me how nice my bike was and it really stuck out. he said harleys are a dime a dozen out here and its nice to see something different. Yes, my zipper was up !!! lol
Cheri Ann..hmmm...I think its time you got yourself a nomad too..dress er up the way ya want and make chaz jealous of all the attention you will be getting..Bdog

Was in a gas station the other day and got hit with TWO compliments during one fill up.
One of the compliments was an older gent on a Harley. He started talking about the Nomad and how he was riding with someone that had one and talked about the pulling power it had going up a hill two up, as well as the looks.
Not more than two minutes later a young guy in his 20's or so said, "nice bike man".
That was one of the best fill ups I've had.
Well, we all know WHAT A GREAT LOOKING BIKE THE NAD IS.....DON'T WE? :) :) :) http://s2.images.proboards.com/cool.gif http://s2.images.proboards.com/cool.gif http://s2.images.proboards.com/cool.gif
