For the first time since I resumed riding last March, I did not fire up the bike and ride over the weekend. I was working most of Saturday (from home), but just didn't have the opportunity to get on the road. Sunday it was raining on and off most of the day, and I don't ride in rain if I don't have to. It rarely rains here, and the oil buildup on the roads make them slicker than snot. I am now going through serious withdrawals... Considering taking a "sick day" later this week (weather permitting), and hitting the pavement for a good day ride.
I know this won't help much..... but maybe a little??

Just got back about an hour ago. 225 miles. To Tenn/Ken. "Land between the Lakes" Beautiful ride, 70 degrees but about 20 mph wind. When we crossed Barkley Lake, the wind nearly blew us off the bridge. All in all, a great time, with 3 Buds.
Tomorrow rain with tornado warnings predicted..Time to clean the bike ( again)

Somebody did some fancy editing on that video. Thanks.
I finally got out this evening for about 10 miles. It rained here all day and the air is pretty thick. Going to be foggy in the morning. I live near several dairy farms, and well...when it's cold and damp, the smell is awful! It's supposed to be warm and dry later in the week. I'll get a couple hundred miles in on Saturday, going for a ride with a club I belong to.
The good news is, we had a new guy start on my team today at work, so instead of every third week on call, it will be every fourth week, once the new guy gets up to speed. That means more riding time for me!
