I like the look of Audio's Valkyrie tip's. Where should I be looking to get a decent price? When I measure the size (O.D.) of my pipes should I measure at the end where the tips go or farther back where it is larger? I suspect the ends.

I am hoping I don't need to cut them to length.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks

Greg,

Watch ebay for the tips. You can pick up a set for under $75 if you are patient. I got mine for a little over $60 shipping included. The ID of the tips are a shade larger than the OD of the pipes. But that's not a problem. They slide over the ends of the pipes until the ends meet the rectangular shape of the tips. Prop the bike so that it is standing level and you can eyeball the tips or use a small torpedo level to make sure they are both perfectly vertical. There are 3 holes in the tips that you can use to secure them onto the pipes with sheet metal screws. I put one SS screw in each tip to hold the tips in place after drilling a pilot hole in the pipes. They don't move because the end of the pipes are jammed into the beginning of the rectangle ID of the tips. They look great and add more of a rumble to the debaffled pipes. You can put more than one screw on each tip if you remove the bags or jack the bike up to drill into the bottom fastener holes. Keep your eye on ebay or check with any buddies that had or have Valkyries and switched to aftermarket pipes. Good luck.

Yep, what Terrebonne_nomad said. I found mine on ebay several years ago for $40.
Probably the least expensive bit of bling I've ever put on my bike. :)

I got mine from delphi forums - just go to the valkyrie site and post there.

Mine came from Ebay last summer for $35. I just pushed them on as far as they would go then drilled holes (two, I know over kill). Stock pipes and love to mellow sound it added.

PS I do drag them coming out of parking lots sometimes. No damage that I can see.

What other tips will fit over the Nomad pipes? Valkyrie or Interstate what about a Gold Wing? Any other models to be looking for Victory, Harley etc? There's a set of Valkyrie tips on Craigslist in Minnesota for $50.
