I'm taking a 4 to 6 week trip this summer and want to pick up an additional piece of luggage, or storage bag of some type. I already have a Kuryakyn gran tour bag and am looking for more carrying space.
I will be traveling alone so I have either the space behind me or the rack to utilize. I want to take my half helmet as well as a full so the extra helmet takes up that extra space that pushes me into more luggage.
Please post pictures with any replies to this post.
It'll be a good reference for other NAD riders.

Both Liz and I keep the Willie and Max tail bag on our bikes all the time. See my bike picture below. I call this my day bag and keep gloves, do rags, bandanas, insulated drink cover, etc in it. Then when we travel we pack a bag with our cloths in it and set it on the back seat. When we stop we take the back seat bag off and take it into the motel/cabin, etc. Anything else we take on the trip stays in the hard bags on the bike. Like our rain coats, first aid kit, air pump/tire patch kit, extra tools, hwy bar chaps, extra jacket, chaps, bike cover and anything you want to keep with the bike. Then we have a windshield bag with sunglasses, chap stick, sun block, ear plugs, gum, etc. in it.
I would put your Gran Tour bag on the luggage rack and get an expandable bag of your preference for your clothes for the back seat. Get a cargo net to secure your helmet on the back seat bag or put it inside the Gran Tour bag. Your good to go!

I have seen people use dual tour bags when they ride solo. One behind the driver attached to the backrest and one attached to the backrest behind the backrest. Gives you a place to lean and doubles your carrying capacity.
We use the T-bag route 66 model. It has the handle and wheels. Have carried two half helmets, rain gear and several other things in this one. Also have the roll bag for on top. Comes with a tie down net that simply snaps on. Real east to use and provide quite a bit of room. Also has a built-in rain cover that really works. The avitar shows the top and net. The pic of us shows part of the full set up behind us. Small pic of kelli you can see the roll bag on the rack. A little pricey, but a quality product.
Just get on and search T-bag. Good luck. Oh, we use the roll bag on almost all of our daily rides. Very handy and just the right size.

I really like my Tombstone bag. It is handy for mostly small things like glasses, hats, bungee cords, tools, etc. It is a very strong backrest as well. It comes with 3 or 4 sizes of foam padding for your back. But you might want something in a bigger bag if you want to put a helmet in it.
On long hot trips I place a water bag on top and sip from a tube to keep hydrated.

I have used the Tour Master Cruiser II Bag System and it has been great. I then use cargo nets to strap everything else down that won't fit which isn't much. I have traveled for a week and no problem with not having enough room. May have to do some laundry along the way. Have a great trip. Wish I was going. Be safe.

I noticed you're from UT. Will be passing through your beautiful state on my trek.
