I have had several things sitting in boxes that I ordered as far back as last October. I have been focusing on the fairing project, but I am still waiting on several H-D parts and the gauges I ordered as well so thought I better get the chrome installed. Some has been on for a few weeks, but the top rails were sitting...waiting....

Lighting is not great, but give the general idea. I installed the saddlebag side rails, top rails, chrome radiator grille, and front fender guard.

I honestly am not sure. I think they are Kawi F&S, if not, then I think Cobra is the only other company that make them. I bought them on eBay, here is a link to the vendor. He puts them on sale sometimes, I think I paid around $240. Have wanted them for a long time and hated the price, but finally gave in and that price is better than the $300 most vendors want. The pic in the auction is a 1500 with the chrome bumper, but they are not for the 1500, these will only fit the 1600 (and no bumper).

Looks good man ! I've wanted them for a while now but with needing rubber and a few other goodies I've bought, they aren't in the picture for a while. I was wondering about pictures of those lower bag rails I've seen online..... and they always show the rear fender having a rail around it. Is that available also?

Your garage looks like mine only smaller. Does your lift have the air assist? I have the Harbor Freight model with just a foot pump. I have the same pancake jack but I didn't notice any hockey pucks to go with it. I use them for frame spacer so not to lift on the motor.

Liz had those fender bumper on her 1500 so when she see's yours she will most likely want some for her 1600.

I also noticed your arrow/bow rack on the wall. I use to bow hunt and shoot tourniment archery back in the 80's. I was a member of the NFAA, Missouri Bow Hunters and president of our local club, Macon County Bowhunters. I shot both 3D's and field archery and at one time I was ranked 14th in our state and 16th in the nation in my class, Bowhunter Free Style Limited. Yes, when you get old it is alway how good we used to be.

The fender bumper is a 1500 option only. We got the chrome fillers between the bag and the fender on the 1600 instead. I have looked for an option but never found one.

The bike has Cobra True Duals with billet tips rather than the V&H pipes most guys run.

The garage is 36'x28' or close to that anyway. Thought I would have lots of room, but just seem to collect more tools and junk now. ;) The lift is likely basically the same as the Harbor Freight one you have but has air as well, it was cheaper than the manual one here (Princess Auto in Canada) when it was on sale, so went for the air. It has a manual foot pump as well. The jack did not come with any frame spacers, I had to make some to accomplish that.

I have not touched that bow in quite a while, used to shoot all the time, and mainly used it for bear hunting. Tagged a 320lb black bear several years ago with it. Sounds like you could kick my butt in a shooting challenge though. :)

LOL.... that is how it starts...first an air cleaner, next chrome reservoir covers, then all of a sudden you can't stop, and unlike most addiction supports groups...boards like this only encourage you to go do it again http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif

Looks that way...I think you may be partially responsible even :) I saw your bike over at Cruiser Customizing a couple years ago now I think and checked out your accessory list more than once to see what was going on the bike.

I can say thanks for all the ideas, my wife like would not think it was a good thing though :)

Your garage is a lot larger than it looks in the pictures. Mine is only 26 X 36.

Don't worry about me out shooting you or anyone anymore. I had an accident and destroyed my shoulder, then artiritis set in and now I can't hold a bow at full draw long enough to aim it. I have been considering a crossbow but that is like changing to a trike from a 2 wheeler. It just don't seem right, yet.

Put my saddlebag rails on yesterday. The wife came out to take a look and said don't you think that's enough chrome now? You can hardly see that the bike is black. Told her I still needed to dress up the front fork yet and that those parts were on the way. She just grinned. She knows I don't drink or smoke and that the bike is my only hobby, so just just appeases me. What a women, love her to death. I always felt that if they get mad, they get glad too.

How hard is the front fender guard to put on? I have heard the lower bag rails are a simple bolt on?

It is easy 4 bolts that hold the fender and a bracket on each side. Remove, place the guard in there, and put the bolts back in, just be careful with the fender because it is completely free to do what it wants while you put the guard in place.

Just FYI, I bought it here (http://www.powersportsuperstore.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=TR59-8842), it was $101, but I see now they list it at $120. At $101 it was the best price I could fine.
