I was at a swapmeet in Charlotte over the weekend and found a trailer to put behind the Nomad. I need to get a chuckster hitch and get everytng wired and I'll be ready for extended trips.

That is one sharp looking trailer, I really like that. Is that brand new or used?

The guy I bought it from said it was a 1966 model.I thought it was a good deal for $500.00. I'm try to find some info on it but I haven't had much luck so far. It looks like it will match my red and titanium Nomad, but I can't look at them together since my bike is still in Washington.

It appears in great shape for its age, I like the spoke wheels on it.

Go to the Delphi Motorcycle Towing forum and post a picture of it. I'll bet somebody there can identify it for you.

They did have style in '66. Got a rear view?
PS; Hope your Bike has some RED on it or you won't be able to keep up with your trailer. http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif

My bike is red and titanium and I think they are going match fairly close.
I went on the Delphi forums and got a couple ideas but still not any closer to make and model yet.Company could be long gone by now but I'll keep trying.
Here is a link to more pics.

No one seems to be able to help me even get close to when/where this trailer was manufactured.
On a side note,I'm thinking about extending the tongue on this thing about 10-12 inches soI have enough space to mount a cooler. What do the trailer gurus around here think?

the rule of thumb is tongue should be 1 1/2 times the width of the axle. thats what ive got, got this info from a couple a guys who have made various trailers for bikes. they said usually the shorter it is , the more chance you have for wobble. you may also have to experiment with how you load it, keeping more weight over the axle and to the front. ie. more tongue weight.
