I noticed yesterday while I was in my friendly wally world that seafoam has jumped from $6.88 to $8.44. WOW.
You want to stock up if its still low in your area. :-/

MMO is a good additive. I've used it for years, both in bikes and 4 wheel vehicles. I got turned on to it by some of my HD drivin' friends. It has nearly doubled in price in the last five years.

Got a question about this. Picked up a can yesterday, but havent added it to the tank yet. Do you all use it every time in the gas, or just add it periodically during the riding season?
Thanks,

Use it like injector cleaner. An ounce for every gallon about every 2000-3000 miles. Some may use it more often. Some may add some at every tank because of fuel quality concerns. Then use it if you park it for winter to stabilize the fuel. But at $50-$60 a gallon, every 2-3k is what I do. It also goes in all my power equipment fuel too.

Techtron is also a good fuel additive once in awhile if you can't get seafoam. I try to put in half a can of seafoam every 3-4000 miles. It also pays to clean the throttle bodies once in awhile.

I thought all the hype about SeaFoam was a bunch of hooey, but it seemed to be viewed so favourably here I thought I'd try it on the lawnmower carberator which was all gunked up with varnish.
I still had to take the carb apart and soak/clean it, but the stuff really does work. Ironically, after using it, it must have knocked something lose, i.e., a peice of crud in the tank, because I had to disassemble the carb one more time to clean things up. But you could tell how the SeaFoam had already cleaned up the float bowl, etc.
As many others have stated, I think periodic use will save a guy a lot of potential problems down the road.

It does make a difference, My bike seems to be more responsive after Ive put it in the tank, and my lawn tractor was running poorly and wouldn't idle at all last summer, I gave it some Seafoam and it perked up and idled smoothly within 15 minutes.

I have used Sea foam for many years, and I think it's a great product. It's what I use in the gas tank for winter storage, and I use it periodically during the riding season. I'll have to stock up on it if the price is going up.

And baby formula, too! Congratulations!
Just checked out the MMO site. Seems to have similar qualities as SF less the fuel stabilizing. I will pick up a bottle/can of MMO and try it as well. I will probably not use the 20% in oil that they recommend in bike, car, and truck. If it does what it claims, it will be less expensive than SF. May be a good time to get other opinions on fuel and oil additives, stabilizers, etc. Cost may be a factor to some as well. Getting the best bang for the buck. If MMO does what some claim, I will run through my SF and switch to MMO. It also may be a good idea to have both around for certain situations.
Any other opinions?

Was at Pep Boys today, Sea Foam is now $9.99. I e-mailed Sea Foam complaining, lets see what kind of response I get if any.

I'm sure they will say it due to the gas shortage, plantary alignment, Obamay, etc. LOL
