Maintence Scheduel--Extended warranty

The thread about Extended Warranty got me curious so I called my dealer to get a price on the 24,000 mile service.
He said it was the same price as the first checkup. This didn't seem right to me so I asked if that included all the parts that were to be replaced at 24,000 miles.
He said yes so I asked even the radiator hoses and o-rings? No we don't replace them we just inspect them. Yes I said, but the manual calls for a change. He said that as long as there are no leaks they are OK.

Thats the problem TC with dealers. i believe they only INSPECT items and if its leaking or damge they might change it out. But just because the manual says to replace doesnt mean they do at all. Damn commie's.

If you want it done right. . .you have to do it yourself. Unless you're lucky and have an exceptional dealer.

My wife came into the room, looked over my shoulder while I was reading the Post from Doc (Lonewolf) and exclaimed..."When did you put your picture on that site?" Yes, I also did a double take because we could almost be twins. Sometimes a photo doesn't look exactly like the real person, but I (and my wife) felt like I was looking at photos of myself.
