Probably the best thing to do is get involved in the SouthCentral discussion board. We're having a mini-rally in May in ES, Arkansas.

Just as there is more than one way to skin a cat (the cat however wont think much of whichever method you choose) there is more than one way to find Nomadders in Texas with which to converse.

I'm positively certain that there are more avenues, but these are the ones I am most familiar with.
