Just wanted to share with you all some additions I've made. First, I too was looking for a chrome rad guard but found $100.00 or more just too pricey. I even checked out having the frame chromed at a local shop but that was going to cost close to a $100.00 as well. So I decided to try one of "Mike's Custom Grills" they aren't chrome, but a brushed alluminum. I think it doesn't look too bad because the forks, brake discs and front hub are all the same tone.
Second, I installed some running lights ( not hooked up yet, weather too damn cold ) I really like this style of mount as opposed to the standard light bar IMHO.
Third, you can see my new soft lowers from Jeff at" Classic Chaps" really nice guy to deal with and a tank bib is on route as well.
Finaly, my extra large lowers that sure help with the buffeting. I'm looking forward to trying these in combination with the soft lowers to see how much more buffeting is cut down.

p.s I have the front fender off to get some of the 3M guarding put on it to prevent rock chips. All ready got a couple small ones in just 500 miles. Oh, and one last thing, my Cobra slash cuts are also on there way. Take care all of you and have a great New Year

Yeah Idaho - I wish it got cold here so I could spend time working on my bike instead of riding it all the time. http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif

Nice additions. I would like to add some driving lights to my '99 and some bigger lowers. Where did you get the bigger lowers from?

I picked up the large lowers on ebay. The fellow makes them in his garage and will give you a good price on them if you don't want to bid on ebay for them.

Nice touches Kevin, you'll like those CWI lights but are they the sealed units or bulbs. If they are bulbs as your dealer to contact CWI and get the seal units if not they will keep blowing out on you. I had mean change at no cost after read a note here on Kawanow. You find the info on the start page of kawanow in Trips tricks and installs. Sweet looking bike.

Cheers Chris
