One thing I really like about the Nomads is how easy it is to spot one on the road. The very distinctive saddlebags make for instant identification. With most other cruisers, I need a few minutes of examination before I can identify them. When they are going the other way on the road I can't do this.

Yes I do agree that Nomads are the sleekest, sweetest cruisers on the road. "OH that is a nicest looking Harley I've ever seen....is always the comment.

I remember how different it felt in 1999 when I saw one. It was so rare to see another one at that time.

It looks like he would have to have a real skinny passenger to fit in front of that case http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif

I agree too. Where other baggers are square and angular the Nomad flows with aerodynamic curves.
Makes mine easy to pick out no matter how many bikes are in the lot. http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif
Ride safe,

It's a small Givi trunk mounted on a stainless steel plate I had made for it.

My bikes are always set up for solo riding.

Solo rider huh? Is that where the screen name came from? You know, the song by Dion.

People ALWAYS do a double take at my Nomad. I have been asked about it a few times at stop lights. The style is unique indeed.

And thus you never get the full potential of what a chick magnet the Nomad is ;)

I picked Wanderer because when I go for a ride, I usually just pick a direction, not a destination. 7000 miles in 4 months.
