Normally I score about $200 at Christmas from various sources and returns. This year I'll probably use that money to buy stuff for the Nomad. Maybe a Power Commander, or some kind of headset with intercomm. Maybe a new helmet.

What would you buy with a few extra Christmas bucks?

Electric gloves. 18 degrees this morning. Rode to my other office. 45 minute commute. Hot Hands worked to some extent but not to the degree I'd be comfortable if the temps were any colder. Been saying I was going to get a pair for the last two or three years but I keep finding something else I want more http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif
Ride safe,

I already got myself a CWI drivers backrest, and engine guard chaps this month. Those clear hand guards would be another cold weather item to gift myself sometime.

Throw in a couple more hundred and get the J @ M JMCB-2003
Then you'll have full intercom with your pass. cb weather band and a jack to plug in your mp-3. Best money I've spent on my bike so far!! www.jmcorp.com (http://www.jmcorp.com)

Lets seeeee, since the bike has been put to bed for the winter I have bought a tach and toprails for the bags. I am looking to get cobra luggage rack and maybe lower rails for the bags.
Intercom system of some kind would be nice but have researched for 6 months and still don't know what to get :-/

Those were my first accessories too but passed, so far, on the rear of the front. Next - maybe the Stebel air horn and some added-visibility lighting.

I sent my family a wish list of accessories and web links for gift ideas this year. Last weekend I put some additional LED engine lights on last weekend from the wife, and ordered a Stebel horn (chrome) from my oh so good Father-in-Law. Hope Santa's listening out there cuz I've been very good this year!

Did the Edmond's lowers you bought have polished edges? I got them yesterday and they seem a little rough.

Got a set of Classic Chaps for my engine guards. (Thanks Mom!) They cut some of the wind, but not all. Have to get off my duff this week and make/install the oversized lowers from the Idaho template. I rode to work this morning at 0430, so Santa Claus may have left something under the tree after I was already gone.

I'm starting to ponder the new audio setup from Ma Kaw so I would put in a piggy bank. May have enough scratch in a few years to actually buy one. $1,100 - $200 = $900 to go. So, who is going to send me the first $200? Hey, I laid out my business plan, isn't that worth something?

LW - I'm runn'n Classic Chaps and Idaho's lowers. You'll be good to go once they're installed. I'm confortable riding in down to 30 degrees here so far, and only my hands feel any coldness. Well maybe my a$$ too. Gett'm on, and be happy http://s2.images.proboards.com/cool.gif

Fender tips too - but...

Hey ianicky,

Let me know how those tips fit your rear fender. I have one to install but it doesn't seem to fit very well.

My amazing wife :-* bought me a Garmin ZUMO 550 GPS for my Nomad. NOW IS THAT COOL OR WHAT?! http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif
I had to unwrap three seperate boxes that were inside of each other to get to it...and...I can honestly tell you that I never expected to find a motorcycle gps in the end...much less the Zumo 550! http://s2.images.proboards.com/shocked.gif SHE SURPRISED ME BIGTIME!! http://s2.images.proboards.com/shocked.gif

I spent some of today (Christmas) intalling and powering up the mount. It is TOTALLY AWESOME dudes and dudettes. http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif

A great advantage is that it also comes with a suction cup mount so it can easily be used it in any vehicle.
I now have to go get a new cell phone with 'blue tooth' technology so I can use all the neat gadgets.

I hope some of y'all are invested in leather futures, 'cuz there is now a worldwide shortage of pakistani wildebeast hides. My bride gave me a set of leathers when I got home from work yesterday. Sure hope the PETA protesters don't find me.

I'm using some of my cash to buy a jack adapter from IDaho. Now I'll finally be able to use my new never used 1.5 year old Craftsman jack. Thanks again Bud.

Hey lw, It couldn't have taken that many pakistani wildebeast hides if there is just a shortage. It if was bad they would be on the endangered species list. ;)
Congrats on scoring the leathers http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif

If god didn't want to eat animals, he wouldn't have made them taste like meat. Enjoy the leathers and to heck with PETA.

Also, I am waiting for my large Clearview windshield to arrive. I ordered this in November! Notice the OEM windshield comes up to my chin.
