Wow i just came today and what a wonderful piece of kit this is. Works like a charm. Saved myself approx $40 ordering form Cruiser Customizing and only took 2 week to be delivered here in Canada. I found it easy to install on stock grips. WOW...lol

I also rec'd from CWI my replacement bulbs for my spot lights. Thanks to this site I found out that there were problems with the bulbs.

Cheers All, Chris

It really helps when you get that tingly feeling in the fingers on the right hand. I love mine.

I had the Vista Cruise on the Roadstar.. just have a Throttle Rocker cramp buster on my nomad.... the throttle is really light compared to the Roadstar.... but I know I'll need one on any really long trips....

I must be cheap! 200 is a lot for a throttle lock although everyone like them

08-02-2007, 08:37 PM
I don't smoke and seldom drink, now with all that savings it's amazing the coin i have left at the end of the month. http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif
And u can't take it with you at the end of the day

Cheers

hey Nico...how did the Vista Cruise work for you? I have one on order and hope to see it in a week or so. I know, I know, I cheaped out but thats all the budget would alolow!!..

08-03-2007, 01:12 AM
It worked great....... I had no complaints... easy to use....

lomax
08-03-2007, 09:39 AM
...seems there are as many happy as unhappy users of the Vista, as with most "economy" gadgets these days..... oh well, will give it a rip!! :)

08-03-2007, 10:31 AM
Set it just tight enough that it holds the throttle but loose enough thst you can manually adjust the throttle position without disengaging it... should be fine... be sure to get the one for 1" bars.... I ordered the one for 7/8" bars like an idiot and couldn't use it.... before any real long trips I will definately need to get one for the Nomad.... untill then the throttle is so light on this bike that the Throttle rocker is fine for me...

El Nico

(I think I smited myself somewhere in there....)

....I use a throttle rocker as well and it sure helps. It will be nice to be able to let go for a few minutes. Thanks for the advice. :)

It's always fun to put the cruise on and pass by people. If they know anything about bikes, you know they are wondering how you are able to keep moving.

I've had a BrakeAway installed for the past two years. Even tho it's pricey, I like having it and using it.

If they know anything about bikes they would know about throttle locks also. ::)[/quote:sxllu7vp]

I just put Vista Cruise on mine. I have the Krury grips so it is a #$%^ to put on if you use the rubber spacer. I ended up ditching it and just cranking the screws down into the Kury grips. It works great.

BTW, I made Junior Member today! Woo hoo.

He started it!

What I meant was people who know very little about motorcycles, but enough to wonder how you are riding without using the throttle. Geeeezzz....lol http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif

OK..for some real info...I have the Vista Control on my Nomad and had one on the Shadow 1100 I rode prior to the Nomad. I love it.

Take your time putting it on and get it right and you cant beat it. Adjust so you can adjust the throttle but it will still hold. One of the most bang for the buck accessories I have ever purchased. (Hope that keeps us out of the dog house with the TripMeister!!)

Way to go Kawagirl.....we're both "Juniors"!! You got a date for the prom?

Yeh, wanna add a cruise control to my Christmas wish list. And, self-canceling turn signals - I forget to turn them off more often than I'd like to admit! ::)

The instructions do suck Nico...I installed on my old Shadow and went through the whole tool sling thing during that.........it was a snap on the Nomad after being through it once...Do you have it on now or are you still wrestling it...I am not home now but can send you some pics Sunday.

08-24-2007, 05:58 PM
Thanks Todd, I finally got it after some (a lot) cursing.... lol

Got it just right now.... not too tight, but holds... releases easy...

Can't wait to get out tomorrow and be able to wave at some bikes with my right hand!

Excellent...I found that mounting mine with the "switch" straight up on the disengaged position was the best...that made it easier for me to flip to the off position quicker when necessary.

Be careful doing the "airplane" as you go down the road (THAT IS A JOKE...KINDA) http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif http://s2.images.proboards.com/cheesy.gif http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif http://s2.images.proboards.com/cheesy.gif

08-24-2007, 11:38 PM
I've got mine mounted about 30* this side of straight up disengaged..... I'm used to it already.... went for a little 50 mile ride up to Alpine and back after work.... used it almost the whole way... can't believe I waited so long to get one........ had one on the Roadstar, which had a much stiffer throttle, and loved it......
