Does anyone know if the chrome fillers between saddlebags and rear fender on the 1600s will fit the 1500s?
tnx,

Yeah I wonder why they didn't make the chrome already there wider to fill the gap. Or better yet move the bags in a little closer. Maybe it's to let air thru so the bike doesn't get blown around too much.

I suspect not, I took mine off a couple of days ago and they have two holes that line up with the bolts going through the saddle bags, then a tab at the rear bottom that goes through a rubber grommet. The bolt part might not be a problem at all, but you'd have the other end vibrating because of nothing holding it at best.

Thanks Dan, Bob,
Dan, BTW, do you still have the luggage rack, or have you already put it on ebay? Is it a Kawi or Cobra?

I have it. Christmas is a bad time to ebay non gift items. It is a Kawasaki rack, for a 1500 Nomad.

I do know that the rear fender rail fills that void nicely, and also gives some added protection, not to mention they look real nice. Jest my 2cts.

scoot,
Great, that is what I was looking for. That will be much easier than trying to retrofit the ones from the 1600. Probably much less expensive, too. I'll have to add that to my list of things to do. Down the road that is.
Thanks again,
Michael
