I've been looking at radiator covers. I see a chrome mesh one for the Mean Streak, but not for the Nomad.
Anyone know if one is available for the Nomad?

I'm almost positive the ones for the 1600 classic will fit perfectly although some of the catalogs out there don' mention the Nomad. Big Bike Parts and Custom World International have them. You can also look on Cruiser Customizing. You can do a search on this forum or others to see what other owners have done but again, I'm almost positive the one from the classic will work. Hope this helps.

I got one on my Nomad. '06 Green and Silver. I had a post on here about it providing part numbers and all, and yes it is not listed for the Nomad, but is for the Mean Streak. Same cover and chrome mesh.

Go to scootworks .com and they have some real nice ones for the Nomads

While I was poking around last night, I found this website somewhere. Apparently they make custom radiator covers.
http://www.bandit-kustoms.com/bikes.html
Their designs look pretty good and for less than $100, the price seems pretty reasonable.
The web site isn't particularly intuitive, but apparently you send them your design, they mock it up for you, and send you a quote.
Anyone heard of them before?

There are also radiator covers on ebay all the time....same type, just use ebay search for "kawasaki nomad" or vulcan and you can find them...

All vulcan classic 1600 will fit. if you buy the mesh one I would advise removing the stock mesh first or you will have 2 mesh screens vibrating on the radiator worse than it already does.

Would trimming some foam rubber and gluing it between the radiator frame (outside frame) and the mesh stop the noise? Just a thought..

Try E-bay. I know there was an inexpensive one that closed out today and remember seeing a couple more that were higher cost.

DaBull: Your answer is NO. I have tried foam pipe insulation with tape backing. So far I have added 3 layers all the way around the screen, it doesnt help. reason it doesnt is because the screen is vibrating against the radiator, not the edges. Been trying to rectify this for nearly 3 yrs.

i almost hate to say this, and don't knw if it can be done...but...can you zip tie the mesh to the front of the radiator frame?
as a side note - due to this thread, I checked the bolts on my radiator frame, one was fixin to drop, the other two were loose.

I already have an aluminum grill but would like a chrome surround (the outer frame). Can't seem to find those.

The radiator grill I have, and haven't seen on any other bike is this. It is chrome plated stainless steel.
