It's always surprising how much more of a sense you get about a person from video, over still photos.
Inquiring minds want to know...What is the black box on the handlebar, what is above the license plate, where did you get the bag on the backrest, is that a ride bell on the peg, and is there a water bottle holder or anything on the rear crashbar?

The black box is either my J&M CB or my Garmin Zumo. Depends on which side your looking at. What is above my license plate is my inspection sticker. The bag on the backrest is a windshield bag that I mounted above the license plate and behind the back seat. Nope, no ride bell anywhere on my Nomad. I have covers on my back crash bars.

Nice work !
I've chatted with you via email a time or two not really saying much but dealing with an issue of some small importance. I always felt that no matter what it was, you cared and that you did your best. I have always thought that you were a "good guy". It's obvious that I was right by just the way you came across in your video commercial. It is nice to know what you sound like and to put the face I've seen with the voice.
We're all fortunate that those people saved your life.
Thanks for what you do.
I am looking fwd. to meeting you {and others} in Custer.

Talking about accents, it doesn't matter where I travel to in the US, I am always asked "You must be from Louisiana?" The flat Cajun accent can't be mistaken. I was staying in a Holiday Inn in North Houston a few years ago while attending a training seminar. A mature lady desk clerk asked me the question about being from Louisiana. I told her yes that's where I'm from. She then said "You must be a coon-a$$"? I said Yep. I asked if she was from Texas and she proudly said "Yes I am". I then asked her if she was a horse's a$$. Her face turned beet red and she replied "Yep".

Dan,
1st shot: Heel rest for the footpeg above it.
2nd shot: Yep that's the inspection plate with sticker. PITA, but no other way to mount it.
3rd shot: Utopia backrest - that's the pouch that comes with it. The leftmost arrow is another angle of the inspection sticker plate. Insp. sticker is the blue part.

I am not up on heel rests. I'll have to look that over at Custer.
And what motorcycle hater implemented a big ass inspection sticker? And why are the descendants of the alamo taking it lying down? :)
Got those from Kuryakyn a long time ago Dan. I don't know if they make them anymore. All the other stuff Taranis explained is correct..........except on the Utopia backrest, that's not actually the bag, it's the flap that goes over the bag. The bag becomes a PITA after a while, so I took it off.

Trip, very interesting. I have a close friend (partner at work) who has been suffering with the same problem for the past two years. Would you mind telling me what worked for you? His doctor wants to do surgery, but he steadfastly refuses. Keeps going from dr. to dr. relying on meds to see him through.
I told him , I've read of people who were temporarily bagged, and let their insides heal and ended up being fine. He doesn't want ot hear it.

In my case, I didn't need surgery, but damn near died from my body trying to reject my colon. Never had to go to a bag, thank goodness. After taking steroids and meds for years, I'm in remission and have no problems, but I will probably be on meds the rest of my life. Small price to pay given the alternative.
