No, it was 32 and sunny here, finally got warm enough to wash the bike and put it away for a while. its about 20 here and light snow at the moment, last season I rode until Jan 10, this year Im pushing the snowblower around way more than I want to. The way this winter is unfolding I will be out icefishing in the Argo just after Christmas.

Frigging 12˚ and snow, no way. I haven't started the bike in almost 2 weeks. I am really starting to hate this crap.

No, but we will Sunday. It was 80 degrees here today. Before all of you comment..... It is usually 90++ for 10 months! I am so tired of sweating all year. I know alot of you are in snow and it isn't all fun & games.
But I can't wait until January through March. It cools off then.

Did not ride today as it was raining this morning. Wind and clouds the rest of the day. I rode on Friday as it was just windy.

24 degrees, windy, snow. Drove the bronco to a lake, threw my kick boat in and fished for 4 hours. Caught lots of fish, not too much trouble with ice in the rod guides. Proved a great new fly pattern. Hey, if I can't ride the Nomad I can always fly fish and still have a great time. http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif Idaho

So Idaho, which lake do you go and fish at?

Most of the reservoirs aroung here are frozen now until March. Springfield reservoir is a small spring fed lake that stays open on the upper end where the springs feed into the lake. It is a shallow lake that is stocked with 16 inch trout and managed as a trophy fishery. You can only keep two over 20" and must use barbless hooks on artificial lures only. No bait, no smelly add-ons. When the temps drop below zero for several days the lower end of that lake will freeze up but the upper end will stay open and you can still get in on it with a kick boat and have a great time. http://s2.images.proboards.com/cheesy.gif

No, it is below freezing and snowy here. But I haven't given up for the year yet. Still expecting some of that hot air from Texas and other parts south to shove its way up here in a week or so and give me one more chance before January. Then I'll winterize my bike and call it good until the spring rains was the salt of the roads.

The temp when I left the house was 35 degrees and cloudy, but I put on my cold weather gear and enjoyed going to work for the first time this week. This Sunday is the big Toys for Tots ride that starts in 3 locations: Dallas, Ft. Worth and Greenville and all three rides converge in Arlington, TX. I plan to be riding in that parade with my wife. Kind of reminds me of Hillary...If you've heard of the last two debates the last two days here in Iowa, it was right next door to where I work. It was a nightmare between the FBI, SS, and the local constabulary. For good measure they blew the power in our immediate area today. It's always fun for 57 school districts and 10 satellite offices to lose their internet connection. At least the crowd yesterday left us alone...

There's nothing wrong with wearing big boy sizes...and I'll keep telling myself that until I believe it. I've also gone to see the local tent maker and have some really cool stuff on order.

Well, today was the Big Tex Toy Run out of Dallas, Ft. Worth and Greenville. I'm not sure how many bikes there were and the news only gave a 10 second spot at the end of the night. They did report that there were thousands of bikes. The temp was in the 50's and it felt great to be on the road with so many people with a common cause, giving toys to children. I've heard they have upwards to around 30,000 bikers. Seemed like that many out there.

More good news. The HOV lane has been extended and opens tomorrow. Why is this good? Because I get to take it the entire way to work!!! No more traffic, no more jackasses getting cutting me off, just (hopefully) smooth riding. For all of you up north, I'll consider it that you're riding with me. Hope you feel the breeze.

I guess all I can say is ,I'm sure glad I'm not Ringadingh's neighbor. I was moanin last nite as the wife and I were returning from the shop Christmas Party, and had to go 25 mi. to get home,a normally 4mi. ride. Ice and downed powerlines blocking many roads. I was really happy when I finally found some open roads. There was so much debris on the roads with the ice that driving anything was a handful. What a diff. a yr. makes. Last yr. at this time we were putin on over 1000mi. in Dec. Oh well like I said, glad I'm not shovelin snow.......yet.

Went for a 160 mile ride on Saturday to Cedar Key FL. It was a bit chilly (50's) but it was a nice ride. Road out to school today to get some things, very nice day (60's).

Temp this morning was in the 40s and will be 50s by the time I go home. I love living where I can ride year round!

I rode to San Antonio and back yesterday. It was about 34 degrees when I left Huntsville (6:30 am), and warmed up into the 40s by the time I got there. My cold weather gear worked pretty good. My hands got cold, and I had to take turns with them holding the handle bar to let the other warm up. Other than that, I was pretty comfortable. The way home last night was great. It was a little windy to start, but once I got off I-10, it was a pleasant ride.

Huntsville / San Antonio round trip sure beats the local running around I did today. Making a short run from Pasadena to Brazoria & back tomorrow. Hopefully I'll be hooking up with some VROCers on Sunday morning for a breakfast ride to Montgomery.

I really like the ride between Burton and LaGrange. I think it's Hwy 237. It goes through Round Top. I take 609 between LaGrange and Flatonia, which is a pretty good ride also. I-10 isn't good for anything but making time.

The temp today was 32 when I rode out and the high is supposed to be in the 50's when I head home.

I went out for a little ride today. High was 42. Not that bad at all with the sun hitting you. It's cold for us right now!
