What gel seat is that? Is there a specific one you have in mind?
One thing about gel seats...the gel material is very dense and will heat up and retain the heat for a long time. That might be um, "comfortable" this time of year, but think about summer in Oklahoma. Living where I do (Phoenix) you couldn't give me one.

I do own the propad gel pad with sheepskin cover. It's fantastically cool in 100+ TX sun and its warm in the 32 degrees winter here. Its removal should you not need it. Works for me.
Doc, do you have the SuprCruzr?

I didn't know even Kaw made a gel seat. I need to get out more.

They do have a gel seat listed for the Nomad, it is sold in two parts, front for $212 and rear for $165. They also have a plush backrest listed for $90.

Geez, a bit pricey. You can get your seat redone for that amount of money.
Any pad I ever tried raised me up to far to be comfortable.

I have an aftermarket gel pad that Ive used on my stock seat, its ok and does got hot on warm days after a while but overall I don't think its worth buying if your after more comfort. I would invest in a better seat altogether.

Sorry, don't know how comfortable a Kaw gel seat would be, but I did have one on a Harley that got hard as a rock!
That being said, all m/c seats have been uncomfortable to me with my skinny little butt.
This week, put a Diamond custom seat on my Nomad.......we'll see how it works when it warms up enough to get in a decent ride.
MAJOR change in seating position. Now sit "into" seat instead of feeling like I was sitting on top of it with stock seat.
So different its almost like having a new bike.

Todd, thats the model propad I own. Its shaped just like the drivers seat and works really good.
Thanks Doc...looks like they are based here in NC not too far away...I may have to drop by and see em. Does it sit you up much higher than the stock??

I purchased the Kawasaki gel seat for the Vulcan 900 I used to own. I thought it was a good alternative from the stock seat and cheaper than Mustang or Corbin. The seating position with it was a little further back than stock which was what i was looking for. I may try the gel seat for my Nomad now that I know that they make one.

Gel will fry your nads on a hot day unless there's another pad between.

Bob,
Like calf fries? :) We like those in OK!!!! :) Though BD like them raw, like sushi, still with the protective elbow skin around them. He didn't get the prison nickname Teabag for nothing. :)
