I'll be heading to New Orleans for the weekend in the morning.I hope you guys down there have ordered nice weather for me to ride in. I used to live there a few years back but it has been 5 or 6 years since I was there.

Lows in the upper 30's and highs in the lower 60's. No rain in the forecast. You couldn't ask for better! Hope you enjoy your stay...Be careful of where you go on foot alone, the streets are dangerous with crime. I'm sure you know that if you lived here a few years ago. Take care and ride safely.

I'll be in Belle Chasse mostly,but we will venture down to the quarter Sat afternoon.

Been to New Orleans, but not on the bike. Drink a Rum and Coke for me.

The quarter isn't bad. Plenty of law enforcement on foot. Crime isn't too bad there because it is one of the main tourist attractions. Most bad things happen when a motorist takes a wrong turn and ends up in the projects/slums. I'm quite familiar with Belle Chase. Cross the ferry and end up in Chalmette, St. Bernard Parish. That whole area took a severe beating from Katrina. Have a nice trip and be careful.

It was a great trip. I needed more time to look around and visit old friends.
700 miles each way with temps in the upper 20s to mid 40s was alittle rough,but still enjoyed the ride.

I found out how much I appreciated my engine guard chaps from PH Customs.
They helped out alot.
