Me I have GEICO, cost $318 a year with $200 deductible COLLISION and $100 deductible COMPREHENSIVE.
Was just wondering if there was alot of difference across the country.

I think I pay around 280 a year with American Family Ins.
I have Drive (a part of Progressive?) and just under $400 for my nomad and my wife's Vulcan 900.

Geico seems to be cheapest in TEXAS
I have insurance with Safeco.....408.00 a year, which was the cheapest I could find. I got a speeding ticket in my car last year and that affected the premium.
no points...over $600/year in NC...collision/theft/fire ...oh, but HIGH liability limits

Markel American Insurance Company
Call Bikeline 1-800-236-Bike (Agents)
Bodily Injury Liability, $50K Per Per/$100K Per Accident - $60
Property Damage Liability, $25K Per Accident - $20
Comprehensive, Actual Cash Value less $500 Deductible - $74
Collision, Actual Cash Value less $500 Deductible - $95
TOTAL ANNUAL PREMIUM: $249
Includes up to $500 Accessory Package.
We used the Accessory Package as claim for the clothing the Paramedics cut off me in the street after an accident last May. The $500 claim offset the Deductible. This premium is after having a $10,700 claim for damage to the bike for that same wreck.

McGraw, part of Pacific Life. $550 a year. Would help if I didn't have a extremely minor accident on my record and had better credit. That part pisses me off!

Credit rating will also affect insurance, or so I have been told.

About $300 per year. 100/300 $500 deductible comp/collision. Roadside assistance. $1000 in accessory coverage.
Progressive.
That is with 1 at-fault accident and no MSF discount.
Geico has been great in Central Texas...

I had hoped that they would get in the game. That is good to hear.
I called them several years ago for a quote and I was told after I answered all the questions that they would not be able to approve my policy. I asked them why that was and she told me she couldn't release their underwriting policy. Hmmm. So you are turning me down (I had no accidents or tickets at that time) and you will not tell me why..... interesting. This pissed me off and I asked to speak with a supervisor and they refused to let me speak with one. I then filed a complaint with the state board of insurance and then was able to speak with a supervisor. I was told that because my Classic had a "Jet Kit" installed on it they would not insure it because of the high-performance nature of that upgrade.
I was stunned. Do you know how many bikes you will NOT be insuring as a result of that policy??????? :)
Anyway, I like them overall and am glad to hear things are better.

Foremost - little under $900 a year. That's for 5 bikes: '02 Goldwing, '05 Nomad, '04 Moto Guzzi EV, '03 Moto guzzi Stone and '02 Honda Shadow Sabre.....full coverage on all. Covers whoever rides our bikes....got a son in the Army that sometimes comes in on leave and takes trips with us. He usually drives the Sabre.
The 04 and 05 are mine. Hubbie plans to sell his guzzi this spring.

I would have thought so too, having had a Geico policy on my automobiles for at least the last 5 years. I was shocked when I shopped for insurance on my bike and they quoted me over 1200 bucks a year to insure my new 07 Nomad. A Progressive policy with the same coverage levels cost me under 450. I ripped Geico a new one in a "sternly worded letter" promising them that I would apply the only consumer influence available to me: pulling my auto policy from them and moving to Progressive. So I have no love for Geico and hope a bird eats that damned gekko.

And how you drive in your cage will affect it too. Last year I got a ticket doing 45 in a 40 in downtown Lindale, TX. Made my motorcycle insurance at renewal jump 35.00 dollars for the year!

Yeah, I have had 4 speeding tickets in the last 2 years. Nothing serious, as it's really tax collection here. It's so bad, that Iowa gives you 2 grace tickets that don't count against your license if they are under 10 over. 3 out of the 4 were 10 or less over and 2 of the 4 were on a bike. It does make a difference though. I paid $97 a year for the same coverage on my 800, whereas it is 381 on the Nomad. Lastly, location matters. I paid 320 for the 800 when I lived in NY.

No Tickets, no issues. Cars and House with USAA who used to be REALLY high for bikes and now partners with Progressive(who I had my last bike with)
$253 per year. 100/300 $1000 deductible comp/collision. Roadside assistance. $2000 in accessory coverage. No MSF, it's been over 3 years and I need to take that again, not so much for the discount, but for the experience.

progressive, Tx. $207/yr. :-)
Had Foremast.... was cheap... got a DUI last yesr.... needed an SR-22 for DMV... Foremost doesn't supply SR-22's on Motorcycles or Motorhomes in CA.
Switched to Progressive.
Quit drinking.

Progressive. $501, but that is for the '04 Nomad and an '05 800 Boulevard for the wife. Half of that $501 goes to the state of Michigan for a fund that pays for people that have large medical expenses after an accident. So I pay around $250 for the two bikes.

I did find out one thing from GIOCO, A friend of mine bought a Nomad (his first bike to register) be cause of this his premium was $850 per yr. He had his cars with them to. He was very upset. The next yr. his dropped to around $500 and his should drop again next year. Mine has dropped some every year.

Mine was $425 first yr progressive then second yr dropped to $207.

I'm sure my higher rate was driven by my "brand new rider" status, and accept that our accident incidence rate is higher than that of experienced riders. I hope to see a similar drop in premiums when my policy renews.
