I received my Premeux fairing this weekend and I was so impressed with the way it looks, I just had to share. I'm still waiting on the fiberglass lowers, but wasn't gonna wait for them before mounting this beauty. Hopefully the lowers will arrive this week and I'll be able to post some more pics (Also supposed to get my Corbin trunk this week)!
The fairing itself was a breeze to install, taking only about 30 minutes from start to finish. However, putting the speakers and amp in for the mp3 player took about another hour. I love the way it looks - they did a great job matching the OEM paint.
I got to ride for about 30 minutes this morning, but then it started sleeting and then snowing so I decided to park it - Don't mind it cold, but cold-n-wet are not my idea of fun on two wheels. Initial impressions: I'm very pleased with this latest mod. It was windy as all get-out today, so hard to say as to how much more wind is blocked than the stock shield, but it is definately a noticeable difference. It seems there is more wind noise than the oem shield, but that could've been the heavy winds today. There was also a noticeable reduction in the amount of helmet buffeting - Not that I had bad buffeting before, but there is zero buffeting with the fairing. The stereo was nice in town, but was hard to hear at 65mph and above - Again, have to see what it sounds like when the wind isn't so bad. Hopefully the lowers will arrive this week. I think they'll really complete the look. Thankfully it was slightly sunny yesterday so I could snap off a couple quick pics before it snowed.

That's a sharp looking bike.
Very nice looking fairing, CR!!! The blending of the paint looks sharp. Send us a pic when you get your lowers.

Beautiful. Nice job with the paint. Does it mount where the oem windshield mounted?
Now the only thing missing is V&H Baggers and saddle bag top rails :)

Very nice!!! I have the complete set also from these guys - very pleased! I have figured out how to use the stock clear lowers which have to be moved when you get your new lowers. If I was better on the confuser I would send pictures! Also, get the Freedom Wings for the Fairing - they work real good! I also put opening vents in the lowers which greatly improve the air flow down low.

Cheesey, I'm not one for fairings, just not my taste, but that looks really good! They did a great job with the paint! Enjoy it!

why does the top of the windshield look scratched?

You will notice a big improvement on the amount of wind on your body. The standard windshield is good but too narrow. I modified a Harley fairing for my bike. I really enjoy mine.

Yep, those Premeuix fairings are sure bee-utiful. I thought about one, but figured that they'd be kinda hot in the summer. And I sure like that air flow in the hot. But it sure has it in looks dept. I just know you'll be enjoying those cool days moer'n me though.

Thanks. I was very impressed with the quality of the paint job, and the color matching is spot-on.
As to mounting, it's not exactly the same as the oem, but very similar. It mounts to the same bracket, but uses the upper and lower most screws (the one's that hold the brackets to the forks). It's held on with 4 screws, so it was very easy to mount.

LOL - My better half won't agree to pipes. She likes the quiet ride of the stock pipes.
I haven't found any rails for the bag tops that I like. Most of them cover too much of the paint for my liking. I want to see the paint, not the rails...

Sure will. I got the lowers this evening. Installed in about 10 minutes, but was dark so I didn't take any photos.

d**n, that's one sweet bike cheesey. Does it come with a stereo? or do you supply your own mp3? How does she attache to the bike? Thx.
Thanks! You can get it with a full sized stereo/CD player and speakers for extra $ - I had an amp and speakers for a MP3 player already, so I didn't go that route (might be sorry later).
It attaches to the bike using the upper and lower screws that hold the stock oem shield in-place. VERY easy to install.

I didn't have to move my oem lowers, just bent them in a tad. Gotta link for the Freedom Wings?
How did you put the vents in the lowers? I was kinda worried about these getting too hot in the summer and was already thinking of ways to put in a vent - Would love to hear what you did for this mod...

Less Filling - Tastes Great! There's always more than one point of view, and none of them are "wrong" - just different...

why does the top of the windshield look scratched?
The windshield came with sticky protective paper on both sides. I was running out of light, so I snapped some pics before I had a chance to clean it - And it was dirty.
No scratches - yet...

I figure it won't be much hotter than the oem shield, and it's only 4 bolts away from being removed...
Lookin gooooood http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif One of these days, Ma Kaw is gonna take the hint and start making a fairing an option on the Nomad. They'd sell a lot more Nads that way.

It looks great, I think the fairings really finish off the look of the bike. The lowers are good in the rain for keeping your feet dry also. I don't find it that hot in the summer either, in fact I find the added protection keeps you from getting beat up by the wind on long trips.

I forgot to mention if you get the Harley air deflectors that screw into the 3 holes on each side of the fairing they also help reduce some wind turbulents. Part no. #57740-05 @ $31.00 a set for the dark smoked ones.

Now you've done it cheesyrider! Momma is going to kill me when I tell her I gotta have a fairing! Let me think, it improves the gas mileage right? Therefore it will pay for itself!
I just love the paint job they did on it. Looks great!
I just ordered one myself with a radio and remote. Can't wait to have her on.

All I had to do was give them the year and Kawasaki color (Cardinal Red/Titanium) - they knew the color codes.
Paint was included in the cost ($1450 plus about $80 shipping). They packed the fairing very well. There must've been 100 yards of bubble-wrap in that box!

Completely agree - Luckily, there are aftermarket products available like Premeux that look like they came from the factory.
